I am fortunate to have a unique combination of extensive material transaction experience (M&A, securities, joint ventures, international commercial transactions) and extensive hands-on operational and managerial experience (GC, CLO, EVP, Chief Strategy Officer, Executive Committee Member).

These experiences give me the ability to provide highly effective and valuable assistance to companies tackling a wide variety of challenges — internal growth, material acquisitions and divestitures, geographic expansions, as well as legal, regulatory, and governmental challenges.

As a member of an Executive team, I bring insight, team work, and confidence to strategic planning and execution. As a consultant, I am an extremely quick learner with a non-threatening, partnering personality that allows not only my clients to maximize the value of my efforts, but often leads to superior efforts and results from the employee base as well.

I am currently considering new material projects for the first time in a few years as one of my major engagements gains stability. This project brought me additional experience in the global digital publishing arena, as I assisted my client in establishing international operations in the US, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, and Spain.

My combination of significant experiences as both outside counsel and as general counsel allows me to step into a transaction and partner with management, streamlining their involvement, and — maybe even more importantly — allowing them to stay focused on other aspects of running their business rather than being swallowed up by the demands of a single material transaction.

They get the benefit of a competent and experienced legal executive without actually having to have hired one years ago. I am a quick learn when it comes to understanding a company's operations and internal dynamics, I work very well with outside counsel, and believe I can even add insight into the transaction process and strategy.
